When it comes to giving Paloma a try, it helps to let customers know what to expect!

You probably already have "How to shop" or "How to pay" policies, so now is a great time to post some updates.

In this doc we'll share messaging you can use with your customers, images of the process, and sample Stories, so you can post about how it works. All images are available to download and use in your updates.

I’m using a new checkout system (called @getpaloma)! You’ll automatically get claim confirmations, and a link in your DMs to use for payment at the end of each sale

How to Claim

If you plan to pre-load fixed price claim items in Paloma, here's more info on the claiming rules for customers.

To claim items you can comment on a Live or Feed Post, reply to a Story, or send a DM to my page.

Comment “Claim” plus the item’s code. The number is the price. Capitalization doesn’t matter, spaces don’t matter, spelling *does matter, and you can add characters before or after the full claim.

So if the item’s code is “AB20”:

✅ CLAIM AB20

✅ claim ab 20 please!

✅ 😍😍 claim AB20!

How to Bid in Auctions

If you plan to run auctions for customers to bid on items, here's how you can explain the bidding rules.

To place a bid, comment with “Bid” and the amount you’d like to bid.

Bid’s are accepted if they are more than $1 than the last accepted bid.

If you win the item you’ll get a confirmation that you won!

How to Checkout

When explaining the checkout, we recommend adding any details that are more specific to your shop – for example:

  • Do you offer open boxes? If so, these would be available to request in the Shipping form

  • Every shop will take any major credit card and ApplePay, but do you also accept Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay?

  • Do you accept external payment methods like PayPal and Venmo?

Reply “Checkout” in our DMs to view your cart and pay for your order.

You’ll be able to add shipping info, pay, and receive a confirmation email and DM:
