When you're selling items on Instagram, you might not want to upload inventory before your sale – whether it's because you don't want to plan a table of items in advance, or because a customer requests something you didn't think about showing.
Now you can list and assign these claims instantly – without leaving Instagram – building the customer's invoice in realtime!
How to format an Instagram comment to create a claim
To create the item and assign the claim, comment on your own Live, Story, or DM thread:
@customerhandle Item title $price
Rules to follow
Order matters: Always put the customer's handle first, followed by the title, and the price
The price must have a $ sign: Without it, the app won't recognize the price, and won't create the claim
Only tag one customer at a time: If there are two handles, the app won't create the claim
You can put anything you like in the title, but it must be shorter than 80 characters. Here is an example of what 80 characters looks like in length:
This very long title is eighty characters long which is too long to be used in a Paloma live listing
You can put any other words or emojis before or after the claim
For example
If you want to assign @kellycollects a Vintage camera for $54:
✅ @kellycollects Vintage camera $54
✅ @kellycollects Vintage camera $54 please!
✅ 😍😍 @kellycollects Vintage camera $54!
❌ Vintage camera $54 @kellycollects
❌ $54 Vintage camer @kellycollects
❌ @kellycollects $54 Vintage camera
