Paloma currently integrates with Shippo for the fastest way to create and purchase labels and packing slips. (If you would prefer to use a different shipping service, visit our article to learn more about exporting orders for 3rd party labels.)

What to expect

  • Paloma surfaces the label purchasing options for your orders right in the Paloma app on mobile or desktop

  • Label creation is available on single orders, bulk order selections, and for closed boxes

  • Once purchased, you'll be able to print the label and packing slip, and customers will get notified of their tracking update

  • Your Shippo services, billing, and account details are managed by Shippo directly. For additional help, visit the Shippo support site

In this guide, we'll cover:

Connecting Shippo

To enable the label creation option in Paloma, first we'll need to create or connect an existing Shippo account to your Paloma account.

  • In the Settings menu in Paloma, scroll down to Fulfillment settings, and in the Shippo menu select "Get started"

  • If you already have a Shippo account, you'll be given the option to login with that here

  • If you do not already have a Shippo account, you'll be given the option to create a new account. This will include:

    • Signing up with email

    • Providing billing information to be charged for label purchases, and any other relevant Shippo account charges

  • Once redirected back to Paloma, you'll be ready to start creating labels!

Purchasing labels for orders

  • In your Paloma Paid Orders, select the menu on an order, and choose "Create label"

  • In the pop up, enter the package information for the customer

  • Once complete, you can purchase the label, and will be given the option to print along with the packing slip

Label creation will not be an accessible action if:

  • More than 50 orders are selected

  • A selected order has an "open box" or "close box requested" status

  • A selected order is missing the customer's shipping information (for example, if the order was paid externally and the customer did not enter their information in Paloma's checkout)

Managing existing labels

Printing a label or packing slip that was previously created

  • In your Paloma Fulfilled Orders, find the order you'd like to print, and select "View details"

  • From the order's detail page, select "Print label"
